hello!

I’m Sammy, a writer and editor living in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. I'm currently working on my master’s degree in counseling psychology at Arcadia University.

Previously, I worked in New York as an editor at Adweek, Esquire, and grassroots animation site The Dot and Line. I’ve written for outlets including Observer, SELF, Teen Vogue, Travel + Leisure, TWLOHA, VICE, Vulture, and The Wall Street Journal. I also wrote a guided digital minimalism journal for teens called LOG OFF: SELF-HELP FOR THE EXTREMELY ONLINE (May 2022, Penguin Randomhouse). You can order LOG OFF via your preferred bookseller here.

I created the hashtag #TalkingAboutIt, which invites folks on social media to share about their mental health openly and honestly. That said, I’m not on most forms of social media anymore, so if you want to get ahold of me, you can do so here!
